  • An arc of light is constantly racing across the surface of our planet at 800 miles per hour, as the earth rotates from its dark side, towards the sun at dawn. Out of this darkness emerges luminous color and form and I use the gift of my eyes and the tools of photography as their witness. In these moments I am not taking pictures as much as I am being taken.

  • about duncan berry
I grew up in a family of old school shooters and was given my first Petri at the age of 12. I have been hunting beauty and meaning in over 50 countries ever since and use this flow of images in my work on climate change solutions and conservation of biologically sensitive lands. (I am partial to those scenes the eye cannot see on its own: Panoramas, infrared and high dynamic range.)

Hope you enjoy these scenes I have captured from the arc of light…
